Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

sudoku247online.com collects minimal data. Guests play without any account — we store nothing about them except anonymous analytics (page views, click counts).

Registered users authenticate via Google OAuth. We store: your email address, chosen username, country, registration timestamp, and your game history (difficulty, completion time).

2. How We Use It

Your email is used only to identify your account. Your username appears on the public leaderboard and your public profile. Your game history is used to calculate stats shown on your profile.

3. Third Parties

We use Google OAuth for sign-in (subject to Google's privacy policy), Google Analytics for traffic insights, and Google AdSense for ads shown to unauthenticated visitors only.

3a. Google Analytics

We run Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors find and use the site. GA4 collects aggregated, anonymised data: page views, custom events (for examplepuzzle_completedor sign_up_completed), referrer, device class, and country-level location. IP addresses are anonymised before storage.

We use Google's Consent Mode v2. Until you accept the cookie banner, GA4 collects no cookies and only the minimum anonymous ping Google needs to count a visit. Our lawful basis under GDPR is consent — if you reject the banner, analytics cookies are never set.

To revoke consent after accepting, clear site data for sudoku247online.com in your browser settings. The banner will reappear on your next visit and you can choose Reject. You can also install Google's GA opt-out browser add-on to block all GA tracking across every site you visit.

4. Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page. When you do, your games and friendships are removed entirely, and past challenges you participated in are anonymized so other players' records remain intact. If you are an EU resident, you have additional rights under GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, portability).

5. Contact

Email support for any privacy questions or data requests.

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site. No tracking cookies are set unless you accept. Read our analytics cookie policy.
