All-TimeMedium Sudoku X is where the diagonal rule starts paying its biggest dividend. Pointing pairs, naked pairs, and locked candidates all transfer from classic, but a pair confined to a diagonal opens a brand-new elimination axis that's never available on Classic Medium. The shaded diagonals on the board make it easy to spot when a digit is restricted to two cells on a diagonal — that's often the move that breaks the puzzle open. Sessions average 15–25 minutes once you're scanning diagonals as fluently as boxes.
